Nine guided steps take you from a fresh account to a live, trained chatbot on your site. Every step exists for a reason: Muho is committed to data protection, so your AI credentials, your training content and your visitors' conversations stay isolated, scoped and under your control.
Follow each step in order. Nothing is skippable, and every stage tells you exactly what to click and why it matters.
Sign up with your email and verify it with the 6-digit code we send you. Every new account starts on the Free plan — no card required.
Why this matters: Email verification exists so no one else can claim your workspace or your bots.
Bring your own provider key, or subscribe to a premium plan and use the Muho Platform API with pay-as-you-go balance.
Why this matters: Provider keys are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser or to your website visitors.
Dashboard → Bots → New Bot. Give it a name, a slug, a greeting message and the system prompt that defines its personality.
Feed the bot everything it needs to know: crawl your website, paste custom text, add Q&A pairs or upload documents.
Why this matters: Training data belongs to your account only and is scoped by row-level security in the database.
Dashboard → Embed. Pick the bot you want to publish, choose the theme and layout, and preview it live before anything reaches your site.
If the bot has no key yet, create one right there. This key authorises your WordPress site to talk to that one bot — and nothing else.
Why this matters: This is why Muho separates provider keys from bot keys: your WordPress site never sees your AI provider credentials.
The same Embed screen gives you the Muho Universal plugin ZIP and a one-line setup code for it.
WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the ZIP → Install → Activate. A Muho menu item appears in the sidebar.
Use the Appearance section to match your brand, hit Save, and the chatbot is live on your site immediately.
Why this matters: Changes save instantly with cache-busting, so you see the new look on the next page load.
A one-click install would mean handing your AI credentials to a public web page. Muho refuses to do that. Each step separates a secret from the place it could leak, while the plugin keeps WordPress itself effortless.
The AI provider key you add lives in encrypted server storage. Requests are signed server-side, so it is never rendered into HTML, JavaScript or network calls a visitor can inspect.
The key your WordPress site uses only unlocks the single bot you assigned it to, restricted to your domains, and revocable in one click without touching anything else.
Bots, training sources, conversations and billing rows are all protected by database row-level security policies, so one account can never read another account's data.
Delete a training source, pause a bot or remove a key and the effect is immediate. Nothing is silently retained to keep your widget running.
No. The plugin handles installation, and the only thing you copy across is the setup code.
Yes. The widget renders in an isolated layer, so it does not inherit or break your theme styles.
Yes — create a bot and key per site, or allow multiple domains on one key, depending on your plan limits.
On Platform AI the chat politely tells visitors the assistant is unavailable, and it resumes the moment you top up. Bring-your-own-key bots are unaffected.
The script loads asynchronously after your page content, so your Core Web Vitals stay intact.
